The day armed delegates with advice needed for the huge changes expected over the next few years. The event, chaired by Campden BRI director general Professor Steven Walker, highlighted what should be on a manufacturers’ food safety radar and reported on a unique industry survey of Food Manufacture’s readers about a managers’ biggest concerns. The one-day event examined how Brexit is likely to affect food safety regulation and how it will move towards a more risk-based approach to policing the sector. The conference provided a raft of practical advice on everything from creating a food safety culture to allergen management.
