Food Safety Conference 2018 –  yet again a smash hit!


The Food Safety Conference 2018 – A focus on future laws and threats was held on Thursday 21st June at etc.venues, Maple House, Birmingham which boasted high-calibre industry speakers and brought together professionals and students from across the UK food and drink sector.

The engaging programme examined the emerging food safety landscape as well as gain an insight to manage the huge changes expected over the next few years.

The conference had a great speaker line up, which included:

  • Andy Morling, head of food crime at the National Food Crime Unit
  • Nina Purcell, Director of Wales and local delivery at the Food Standards Agency
  • Barbara Hirst, Consultant for Food Safety and Quality at Reading Scientific Services Ltd
  • Bertrand Emond, Head of Membership and Training at Campden BRI
